Does it manage external subs?
I guess I need to install some player that supports samba then?

NOOO!!! :) External subtitles work like a charm :) It's all done by SamyGO Extensions and virtual USB :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

That sounds excellent!
But when opened that it just said no files. I guess I need to edit some file... But perhaps I am missing even more.
In /mtd_down/widgets/user/ I don't have any SamyGo which is where I should edit some 04_04_samba.init
Should SamyGo be installed as normal widget as well? I though it was just used for rooting or similar...

Sorry for these noob questions.

Now we're getting off topic, but is it smb_userdata that should be created rather than changing the 04_-file?

It`s up to you. Sometimes smb_userdata won`t work and you need to edit init script to get samba properly working. But yes, first you can use smb_userdata

Have questions? Read SamyGO Wiki, Search on forum first!

Ok, so I tried 04 file first. It finds my server and directories on top level. But when browsing directories in next level they just says "no files". Are there any limitations? I share from Windows XP ( believe it or not...). Client is BD-F7500

Give output of Telnet command:

Code: Select all

sh -x /mnt/etc/init.d/04_04_samba.init start
I do NOT receive any PM. Please use forum.
