yes, this is the correct way
btw. you can move the rcSGO script where you like, it "should" find the extensions.

samba server can't work, there is a samba client in the extensions pack.
but for your windows problem set the network zone to local (somewhere in windows control center) and enable file share, or/and turn off windows firewall.
you also can try to set the workgroup to the same what your win computer has in SamyGO/etc/smb.conf.
