I got my new TV UE55F8080 last week.
Now follow Firmware is installed T-FXPDEUC-1109.0
Should I made an update to T-FXPDEUC-1125.1? Or should I leave the 1109.0 for installing SamyGo and Oscam?
Thanks for your help.
You should disable OTN Support ASAP!!!!

@sectroyer
for security first step was to disabled OTN Support. so there is no possibility to update automatically!
Firmware 1109.0 ist installed.
So best is to install SamyGo and Oscam on this Version (1109.0)?
So no update to a later Version (ex. 1125.1 or other)?
Are new Version of Firmware not better for this TV?
Regards

In most cases new version ONLY make SamyGO/OSCAM work less stable

The "only" part is not true. Of course if root is a must have for you, then yes you should disable updates. But if you are using apps and use your TV for watching TV, then updates can actually fix problems.
On the other end, even official updates can brick your TV, like the resent incident in US proves. Samsung pushed a update to F9000 TVs that bricked 100% of the TVs it was installed to. No idea how this could happen but it did.
So if there is nothing wrong with your TV, then there is no point in updating.

I can?t say if something ist wrong on my Tv, it?s new one. I have not tested so long.
I read in some other forums that the picture and time for switching channels ist better. But I don?t know how works all other apps on this version.
I think that my firmware is very old, or not?
But I want to install SamyGo and Oscam.
At this time the Firmware ist for old root methode. Has new rooting methode an advantage?
New rooting methode should work on 1125.1?
Or can I use the new methode also for the old firmeware? Or is this not so good?
Thanks all for your help, to make the best decision.

Older firmware is ALWAYS better. At least IMHO

Thanks a lot for your help.
To start samygo + oscam need about 50 sec.
Is this OK?
