By "Launch" I presume is meant SELECT and hit ENTER. In order to see SamyGO-F I must plug the drive in after selecting MORE APPS.

Rather than LAUNCH, the direcories on the USB drive are displayed. Nothing else happens.

Can you suggest what I'm doing wrong?

Goal is to get SamyGO-F to appear in the more apps section and then select/launch it. It should appear automatically after inserting the USB (exit the usb pop-up first) but sometimes you need to exit out of the smarthub and go back for it to get loaded in the smarthub more apps menu.

The "trick" is to let the "New device" screen time out. THANKS!

Since I had trouble installing SamyGO, thought I'd mention a few things:

As my mentor said, you must contribute and include your forum.samygo.tv handle in PayPal so the software registers you as a donor. Please don't be a skinflint; IMHO SamyGO is worth every cent.

Do not extract SamyGo.zip to the USB drive. There is only one file required from that archive and you move\copy it to the USB after extracting SamyGO_data.zip to the drive.

Insert the USB drive after selecting MORE APPS and then wait until the NEW DEVICE window times out. I'm sure it is possible to just dismiss it, but I couldn't figure out what button to press to do that. After timeout, SamyGO-F was in the second row of apps to install, and when I selected it and hit ENTER, it installed.

If you instead select the ALL line in the NEW DEVICE window, all that will happen is that the directories on the USB drive will display.

SamyGO can be installed at least to FW version 1209, but take heed to disable FW updates because Samsung is likely to close the backdoor. In spite of what is said here about using the Service Menu, you can prevent FW upates from the Support -> Software Update menu without having to use the Service Menu - which I strongly suggest you avoid because you can brick the TV if you make a mistake there.

Now I just need to find the patch my mentor mentioned and learn how to use SamyGO.
