What is the different between the Hospitality mode hack and the Rooting mode over developer account?

Ok, I have now installed the 1021.1 and performed the Hospitality Mode Hack, I have FTP access which probably means that the Hack was successful.

Yes, if you have FTP access, the hack is successful.

Someone knows if it is necessary to re-apply the hospitality hack after an update, or is the currently installed hack supposed to still work?

No needs to reapply hack. Either it works or not. Depends from firmware support.
