I know what this folder is It is there for a reason Anyway I unpacked updates on mac and it worked so no idea what "not works" for him

Hidden folder containing tons of files having the exact same obscure contents, some ID number (phone number? ), sure it must be very useful (probably not for user though...).
All I know is that nothing "not works" anymore now files have been well unpacked using *Microsoft Windows*

As said previously. No idea what he did I wouldn't even been surprised if he was using BAD unpacker which he had installed on Mac. On winshit he used other software and it worked. Anyway pure speculation

Hehe ) What-a-discussion "he" used the WinZip on MAC, which is not bad I guess. And used the same on PC too...
But it had nothing to do with unarchiving:
- I saw the folder (image) content on OS X, on Windows (with all the extra hidden folders), but the TV failed to find the update files
- When I did it on PC, it worked like charm
Standard FAT formatted USB stick on MAC (disk utility), tried with several pen drives, etc etc... Yes, sounds like "soul in the machine" or miracle, but that was it.

Incompatible GUID Map? I don't know...

Ahh you did RE-format usb drive That's it. TV does NOT support GUID partition table You should use MBR. Mystery solved Case closed

Well, this is useful to know! Mac-s go with GUID for FAT by default...

Yeah because now windows supports it but NOT TV

P.S. you should have mentioned that you were NOT able to browser usb with movie player
