No I don't have either ftp/telnet... before I could also see Samygo virt. device in devices... gone.
Tried the trick with more apps (although it is not the same on E series as on F series), but also a no-go

Believe me, when I say the root is gone, it is gone, I am not exactly a BFU

Unfortunately as I stated in the cinavia topic some weeks ago - I have not yet built an USB-USB serial cable for the FaNet method to enter the service menu of my BD player... (I ordered the parts and they are on the way...)
Do you think, it is the reason the root got lost and I cannot install it again? (but FW did not update itself, still version 1017 which was ok with the root)

I don't have the cable yet, so I didn't... (cannot enter service menu without the cable).
Could it update itself even if I disabled updates in "normal" menu of the bd player?

If did at least ONCE click link my description you would know how to disable updates WITHOUT the cable

Disabling updates in "normal" menu does absolutely NOTHING

I did it more than once, believe me, but according to this:
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Enteri ... Setup_Menu
the only method is the cable for blu ray...
(INFO MENU MUTE POWER does nothing, ru samsungcommunicator doesn't work...)
please be so kind and tell what am I missing then?
