Hi everyone, I want to report that today I've rooted my H6400 (firmware in my signature) and it worked on the first try. After 3-4 minutes of continuous rebooting (instead of the 1-2 mentioned) it returned fully functional. I checked via telnet and everything was fine.

Then I tried to unroot e bring back Skype.
zoelechat wrote:Anyway, the best is probably that you try by yourself when you'll be decided. At least you know it's possible :)
Doing the approach suggested by sectroyer (changing the smart hub country) didn't work for me: I turned off the tv, removed the usb drive with root data, turned it on again, followed this procedure http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/How_To ... _Smart_Hub and then uninstalled/reinstalled Skype. In the end root was obviously gone but Skype was still broken.

At that point, I did a factory reset as suggested by miazza, and it was successful... but also painful and time consuming! Since I had to set again almost everything (for example OTN Support was still off but OTA had been reactivated and I had to disable it once more; the Smart Control remote wasn't working anymore so it needed to be paired again with the tv; plus I had to reinsert all my accounts' data). But now Skype works as before and this for me is the important thing.

I know that this is TOTALLY NOT a convenient approach, but for the moment it will enable me to decrypt my recordings once in a while and to continue to use Skype for the rest of the time.

I have tried the H-Root on a UE65HU8590 on Firmware Version 1190. OTA has been switched off and everything has been set up as required (skype, ...)

The Rooting process with the SamyGo Widget runs without any errors - however it looks like its not working. Check out the screenshots attached.

I cant connect via telnet or ftp. Also skype still works ...

I hope anyone can help me !

cheers and a happy new year !
