I need help. I've rooted my TV (ES6710, T-MST 1017.1). I've got a FTP-Connection (Port 21 is open), but no telnet an no ssh. I've scanned the network and the ports 22 and 23 are closed. What can I do?
So here is a Screenshot:
Another question: Is it possible to block the pop up, when a new USB disk is plugged in? Maybe with libHideVarious?
Does anybody have an idea how to activate telnet and ssh? FTP works fine, but I can't set any permissions...
Nectat and shell command also work, but it's not possible to write a "+" in shell... After execution the symbol doesn't appear and is replaces by a blank space?! Maybe It's important to know, that port 23 (telnet) is on a first portscan open and after that closed.

I guess you forgot something, for example:

Follow carefully E-MST detailed procedure from here:

Here you can see, that I write a "+" in shell command but after execution it's replaced by a blank space:
But my main problem is telnet.
On first portscan telnet port is open:
A few seconds later telnet port is and stays closed:
The 128mb.xfs file is in the correct folder:

But I took the file from this archive:
http://tinyurl.com/SamyGO/SamyGO.zip (link from Post 1), because of the download speed from sendspace. I thought the files are equal, aren't they?

IIRC, no they aren't, sendspace one includes Telnet fix and ssh

Btw, Telnet on port 2023 should also work.

I change the file via FTP, but the problem is still there. Btw, is it sufficient to replace the file or do I have to run a factory reset?
Ports 1023 and 2023 don't work with telnet

You changed the file "by ftp"?? You have to unplug USB and replace file on it, not by FTP while it's in use...
Are you sure some firewall/antivirus or something isn't preventing Telnet access to TV?

Yes, by FTP. Now I've unplugged USB and changed it again. Telnet is still not working, because the port is not open. See the screenshots above.
I can connect to my raspberrys and to my NAS by telnet and ssh using Terminal (Mac). I'm sure the problem is the TV

Don't be so sure "the problem is the TV", it's more generally between TV and chair

Well, I'd say your fw is maybe too old, you should upgrade to something between 1032 and 1042.
