Which model do you set into SM?
Try setting another one, not too different from your real model..

Try setting 5 series models (d5005, d5000, and so on) since it is more likely that they will have movie player.
Check samsung site to find some models not too different from yours and try setting them into SM.

Yeah, i got it.

I suggested you to try to set models which are similar to tech specification of your tv (to avoid the rainbow effect) and, in particular, choose some d5series (since they are more likely to have the movie playback).

Is it more clear now? ;)

There is NO samygo custom firmware for d-series. You can just wait and hope some new from samygo team :D

I just checked on my TV,
"VESA" option can be set under "Control"-->"Sub Options"-->"Lvds Format"
