But if it also means that I won't have e.g. the unencrypted PVR available, then it's simply useless... at least for now.

To be honest, from the USER perspective is the whole SamyGO thing simply not worth it...
I mean, don't get me wrong, I really adore all the work you guys do and all the knowledge you have and use for the hacking!
But as a user I am just not ready to wait months, hoping that MAYBE somebody will get lucky and something will start working...
The Samsung firmware and it's features are incredibly limited, slow and stupid (can't have DVB-C _AND_ DVB-T channels at the same time because that stupid TV has only one tuner... can't display the guide without stopping the recording :-O... 99,99% of the SmartHub apps are useless and stupid crap comparing to their HTPC counterparts... etc.) and ABSOLUTELY can't compare with the capabilities of even a simplest HTPC running MediaPortal or similar thing...

So, my advice to all the desperate users - get a HTPC, hook up as many tuners as you want - being it DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-S, ATSC, or whatever - to be able to record even several shows at the same time, connect it to your home network natively without the need for virtual USBs, etc... and ENJOY the endless possibilities without hacking, disabling firmware update, fiddling with scripts and other crazy stuff!

my name is Thomas and this is my first post here.

I've got a UE46D6500 T-GASDEUC-1018.0 and want to perform the hack.
As i could read in post #1 it's possible with that model.

Unfortunately I've trouble with the wiki description "How to install":

1. Install SamyGO using develop account according D series wiki article.

In the linked article a developer account must be created:

1. Enter SmartHub (by pressing the smarthub button on the remote)
2. After loading the widget, go to Settings (D or blue)
3. Press "Create an account"

And that's my problem.

1. OK
2. OK (do I have to navigate to a certain icon?)
3. There isn't "Create an account"

In the menu there are:
Accountmamagement (grey, cannot be selected)
Servicemanager
Reset
Properties

That's all

If I try the red (or A) button, instead of the blue one, then I can enter/create a Samsung account, but the username must be an email address and the name "develop" isn't valid.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, I've read some threads, but I didn't find the linked one.
Because I'm not the only one having that problem, a small change or hint in the wiki could be helpful

Limitation - no patches like BigYellow fonts, CHannelInfo and other available this way.

Actually I may need it only for accesing samba/SMB shares. Is it possible with this hack?

Is there a description how to deactivate/delete the hack (switch back completely to original system)?
