I do not have BD-E8500N. I have BD-E6100. I can change country from the Settup of the menu (there is a full list of European countries). No idea what change in the TDM.
Here in Bulgaria when TV is set as country Findland or Sweden(that's what our cable operators recommend), I've all channels for DVB-C.

Because of that, I can't receive HD channels.

On the latest BD-E firmwares, the only way to enter the setup menu is with TDM; FaNet is not working anymore :-( See here

What is TDM? Is a software? Where I find it? How can I work with it?
In your link, it is not said much about all this.

There is this:

"Debug Console enabled devices

To enter the Factory Setup Menu, use the following method :
Connect to the serial console (see Serial console)
Enter the Top Debug Menu on the serial console (enter 20102011, then 20089999)
Enter 12 for 'Subsystem DBG'
Enter 6 for 'SsKeyInputDebug'
Enter 1 for 'Key Input'
Enter 1 for 'Process Key Input'
Choose 0 for KEY_TYP_RC
Enter 59, but don't press enter
On your IR remote, press INFO
As soon as you see the info popup, press enter on the serial console...
Once, you have the menu, press RETURN on your IR remote"

What is the TDM? Top debug menu, but where i find it?

Yes, TDM means Top Debug Menu (trough serial console) and you can find articles on BD wiki http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/The_BluRay_Wiki

You have to find the Tx, Rx and GND signals on the BD-E board and solder console cable. After that using program like putty to get in the TDM.

If you refer to FaNet Software, I found it, but it never says that this is TDM software.
Sorry if I understand so hard, but you have to put in your reasoning the fact that the language barrier exists.
It's easy to altercate with beginners, but it's hard to understand them.

You don`t need any other software, console tool like putty or hypertherm is all what you need. I though it is clearly written on the wiki next to the Exlink cable building instructions. Yes, my English is not perfect. Agree. But who care
