If you can ftp to device, you`re already on patched firmware.

I have installed the patched firmware, and the box (Ht-6750w) does respond to ftp, but it prompts for user/password.
I have tried to log in with my samsung account details, and by leaving the fields blank and to log in anonymously, but connection is refused. Is there a default password for these devices, or is it a way I can set the user/pass using the remote?

just to be sure here that I have everything installed correctly.
I did permform the update via dns-trick and it downloaded version 1116 apearently installed it ok.
And I do get reply asking for ftp password, so I should be ok?

In the settings menu, contact samsumg, the firmware is listed as:
HTB-D6500EUB-106.3
But if I go to the upgrade firmware option, it says current version: 2012/12/22_01116

perhaps strugler could verify this, since he have the same box?

The only thing I havent tried yet is to do a factory reset from the menu. Its not a full reset I think, since it says it will reset anything expect the internet settings. Dont know if this includes resetting the ftp password or not.

I just tried to do the factory reset, but still I cant login to ftp with root, SamyGO ( or root, 0000 for that matter)

I've tried that, and root admin, root, root, root toor, SamyGO SamyGO, SamyGO admin, admin SamyGO, and tried root samygo with many variants with small or big letters. Basicly I've tried everything I could think of.

Hm. I start to wonder if the ftp server is running at all on my HT-D6750W. I did download a ftp password cracker tool, and this reports back that it cant connect to the ftp server.
I though it was running, since trying to connect with my ftp client it did pop up and asked for username and password, but it turns out that this is done by default by the ftp client even before trying to connect. I did test with a dummy ip adress that I know is not in use and it still prompted.
So it turns out there is no ftp server running, no telnet and no ssh either available.

As I stated above:

I hope someone could verify this, if this is correct after applying the dns-trick update?

Also is there something I need to do on the box itself to enable ftp server. Eg. something in the service menu (if I knew how to access it).
