Stumbled across the article How-To: Combine Multiple Country Apps In A Single Samsung Smart Hub and it looks absolutely brilliant! Saves me from running multiple vpn routers and media devices to achieve the same thing.

Too bad the install widget does not work, hope it gets fixed asap.

But if I undertand correctly, the installsamygo dated 08/05/2013 does not work, but installsamygo dated 30/04/2013 does work? Could someone share pls?

wait until new installsamygo will be released. In the 30/04/2013 release there were some issues. Anyway, 30/04/2013 is the most working release for now.

Looks like the Version of Post Nr. 1 is good again - Same Version which I linked.

So take again the offcial Version from first thread..

I noticed that it's necessary sometimes to restart the TV a second time after I plugged the USB stick in shutted down TV.

I instelled yesterday on my 46ES8000 and I had some issues:

1) The install from Develop doesn not anymore work (I do not know why)
2) The istall from USB:
When entering in SMARTHUB the install samygo widget is without image and as soon as it is selected there is a pop up from the TV that ask for updating SmartHub and remove Samygo.
I answered no and installed the widget.
It worked well and FTP was working. I waited a bit and suddenly the CI CAM was not anymore recognised.
I entered the Common Interface menu but it was grey.
I uninstalled the widget but the CI menu remained Grey.
Now I am without CI and everytime I switch on the TV with a CAM inserted the TV say that there is no signal and to control the antenna. If I just go up of one channel it works well but without CI and therefore no possibility to see my Pay Account  .
The CAM works well other TV and Decoder set so the issue shall be within the TV.

Is it possible that the widget caused this issue ?

Any suggestion to investigate the problem ?

Thanks

miazza

I believe this is co-insidence.
but you can do service menu factory reset, sometimes this helps for such mystical issues.

Hi miazza...

I have it running as shown in my sig. Sometimes it happens that after TV start the CI+ Module is not recognized. And restart again helped everytime. But this is not an SamyGO issue. Hat this very few time before also without SamyGO.

But what I heard is that some newer FW dont like some CAM modules anymore. I would start to find some infos somewere elso if there are know isues with your TVs FW Version and your CI Module (and Card) combination.

"When entering in SMARTHUB the install samygo widget is without image and as soon as it is selected there is a pop up from the TV that ask for updating SmartHub and remove Samygo.
I answered no and installed the widget." -> This is normal.

Thanks. I will try.
The factory reset is somehow different from the reset availabloe from the standard menu ?
I'm always a bit concerned to enter the service menu.

Update:
The CI issue was due to this funny CI connector adaptor that is really not reliable.
I needed to plug-unplag it a few times and now it works again.
I installed samygo from USB and worked well also with SW 2008.2.

Great :-)
