That has nothing to do with Samba or SamyGO! SamyGO is NOT for playing Movies over Windows Media Player!
Which Fileformat do you want to play? MKVs? They are not support by default from Windows Media Player/Center...
Try AVI files. They will work also over WMP... But we are not talking about Windopws Tools here....
Please try to inform yourself...

Re: Is there a "hacker" for hire? Help
OK there is a slight change. I am able to watch 1 of my movies I downloaded. All of the movies I have downloaded are the same as far as format (mp4). Why is that? Is there a limit on size? Bit rate? Ect?
Re: Is there a "hacker" for hire? Help
OK misunderstanding somewhere. I believe the fault lies somewhere in the firmware of the TV... For example, all of the movies or videos I am trying to play are MP4... all relatively the same size... no major differences. I can play some but not others... Where I believe it becomes an issue with the TV is the message displayed "
When I first started using this function I was able to watch virtually any video, including MKV files (MKV files are supported by Samsung as per the manual). As more firmware upgrades came out the functionality was lost. I specifically bought this TV because as it was demonstrated to me at a local TV retailer, the TV had the ability to do just what I wanted it to do.
Before I went on a web search and started this whole crusade I called Samsung Tech Support and was lucky enough to get a helpful rep that informed me that basically the ability to view and watch full length movies via the network was basically not allowed. At one time there might have been the ability however, as newer firmware updates were released and installed, this functionality went away.
Now unless there is another issue other than the TV, I will gladly search those problems out elsewhere. But I am pretty sure that it is in fact an issue with the TV and not another problem. All the help I have received here has been great and I thank everyone. But my problem is not fixed and I really want to know why. At his point I just want to see if rolling back the firmware to the earliest possible firmware or to the best suited firmware, would possibly fix the issue.
Now I'm sure there are some "Jedi Knights" here that can help me defeat the dark side (Samsung software developers and management) PLEASE
