Thanks juuso, I tried all the suggested combinations but no luck. The TV is definitely getting the IR codes but the 3speed code forces the TV to show only the solid colors I was explaining before, with no possibilities to see what's on the service menu anymore. If I send two 3speee codes the TV will go in the red,white, green, blue and then comes back to service menu at the second 3speed code. I'm wondering if there is a remote command combination to press after getting into that state. I tried the 0000 but nothing. Just to confirm to everybody I also tried the IR method on another Samsung TV E series and it works fine over there. I was able to unlock the options. Maybe Samsung is trying to fix it changing the procedure ?

I have a very good news for everybody, Samsung just released firmware 1111 with many fixes. After upgrading to that firmware I was able to change region using IR codes just fine! Finally....

that makes you wonder how they do software testing/QA....

With the fw 1111 you can change the region directly from the remote control ! !

I have UE55F8000 tv, traditional method for change region from East Europe to Italy don't work. Version fw is 1109. Today on site Samunsug italy there is new version (1110.2), ircode is possible work whit this fw? Someone has already tried? On site samsung us last firmware version is 1111.4 and on site samsung korea is 1112.4 but are not multilunguage.

upgrade to 1111 and traditional way will work again.

If upgrade to 1111 with samsung firmware us, apps e language tv are english or remains italian?

unlock local area 40f7000 rev. firmware 1109 work via IR sent hex codes whith samsung S4
