Depending this service manual, we can recover and update flash chip via Dsub connector!
Located at Page 61.
It requires EDID enabled from service menu first.
Anyone to try that? :D

Thank you juuso! That's great!

So does the VGA port also function as a serial connection?
I would try to at least connect to the TV and readout the MICOM or EEPROM or what this is about, but flashing right now is probably too dangerous.
Don't know if this could be still helpful.
I have a long DB-9 cable lying around for flashing our SAT STB, so I would need an adapter from DB-9 to 15 pin.

Enabling EDID is probably the least problem.

I will add new forum rule: Don't apologize for bad english. Since Admin's one is bad too and don't care.
I don't know how to place kernel exploit :)
For most, you needed to have restricted shell access first to execute your program...
We can't execute any code on TV. So how could we manipulate kernel?
Might be some TCP/IP - network defect for rooting. But I don't know if they are even exist.

It is not necessary to have initial access to the shell.
You can use the remote exploit for kernel. in the positive result we obtain root privileges on TV. Do not we need it? ;)
it is desirable to know the exact version of the kernel on TV ... Can tell me?
you can find the sources at http://opensource.samsung.com/ -> tv video,

but can you provide a list from the "universal known bugs in the Linux kernel"?

Here is the debug log via Exlink from TV C series (c650 T-VALDEUC-2002).
And here another from other TV UE40C7000WW which has hardware hacked to read debug log (more info on forum.ixbt.ru)
