Update: smartview 2.0 works in a win 8.1 vm. Even screen mirroring works, but not always. Remote works well - can turn off tv, but not on.

@mad_ady I'm on the road so I currently can't download the apk, but a quick search on "tvisted 1.55 apk" shows several results.

BTW, I found another thread at viewtopic.php?f=74&t=7707 where the same protocol seems to be discussed in technical details, worth to read.

I tested tghe tvisted remote, but it can only control the volume on my tv. For everything else (channel change/power off) it tries to connect to port 55000. So, not a viable option sadly.

Not sure if still applicable, but the Samsung smart view app might work for most. However it doesn't on my h-series bluray.

It's been more than a year since this thread was started and nobody figure out this SmartView2 shit Didn't want to do it but you force me. Once finished will post tool and specs...

I think most of us switched to samyGOrc But if you need a challenge, go ahead!
