I also can confirm that downgrading to 001112 from 1014 on my HT-D5550 worked like a charm! just testing one of the dreaded cinavia movies via allshare but so far so good! Only thing i would wanted back now is the old youtube app in smarthub. the new and "improved" one does not support smartphone app typing and using the remote to type is torture! but at least i can play movies now

Please post here if someone figured how to do this with the new youtube.

Hi, i have a HT-D5500ZF with 1015 firmware. I'm trying to downgrade following the steps listed on the first post. Tried several times and it keeps restarting the download when it reaches 86%.
I think i tried everything, set dns on router and on the HT, switched the power off the HT according to the steps and it keeps looping everytime i try to downgrade.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you try it with cold boot? There are instructions posted earlier for people who get stuck on 86%. I followed one from chaosmaker...

I was wondering if a similar process could be made available for the C-Series. I have a BD-C6500 that I unfortunately updated to the 1025 firmware. I managed to download the following C-series firmware BSP-C5300WWB (1010.4 /1016.1.RUF); BSP-C5500WWB (1010.4/1025.1.RUF); BSP-C6500WWB (1010.1/1025.1.RUF); BSP-C6900WWB (1011.1/1021.1.RUF); BSP-C7500 (1010.4). I am happy to upload them if that can help I am also ready to be a guinea pig

Like other users I learned the hard way about updating the device firmware to the latest version. My Samsung Blu-Ray player BD-D6500-ZA has version 1028.0 on it and I would like to downgrade it back to the 1015 version you are hosting. Because of the Cinavia that was added in the later firmware versions I can't play back my movie backups.

I too have learnt the hard way.
Brought a blu-ray player, took it home, plugged it in and it auto updated.
I have read this discussion back to front about 5 times and tried almost all solutions provided here with no luck.
Happy to assist with further testing with my model if needed but have a few questions that I don't believe have been answered as yet so apologies if I have mis understood any one....

My details:
BD-D5100
BSP-d5100XYB-10.21.1

1. Has anyone had success in downgrading this model?
2. If so what process you follow?

I have tried the front process, no luck
I have tried changing the prim dns on router as well with no luck

As mentioned above happy to try new options, I'm not a complete computer whizz but know a little so may just need clear instructions.

I'm newbie on this forum.
I was try to downgrade my BD-D5500 firmware from 1028 to 1015 follow the instruction given by everyone here. I had changed DNS server to 46.4.199.222.
When I log into Support - Software Upgrade - By internet. It show (no software to update currently) on the screen!

Could anyone of you help me up on this issue?

I have a BD-D5500 Region-C BluRay player running firmware 1028. Tried ever thing in this forum. No luck. Keeps saying nothing to upgrade.
Any possibility of a downgrade for region C players with 1028 firmware
