Hi all,

currently trying to hack my TV over the hotel mode as described in WIKI and in the first post.
My TV is UE55C7700 , current FW version is 3011. The TV was hacked in the past , but had to update the firmware.

I am currently struggling at the step where i import the usb data to the TV
I am getting an error message "failed to receive check usb connection and try again" when i execute the "Clone USB to TV"

I assume it is related to my Clone.dat file, which i have prepare according the WIKI (double checked , it is correct)
If have tried with sda and also with sda1.
I have attached my usb at the first usb port which also support usb hard disk.
The usb has been prepared as ext3.

I think best way is to downgrade firmware, root through widget and if needed - upgrade hack to hotel hack from command line. For that goal you need usb-image.

HI juuso,

yes downgraded with firmware_0000 and afterwards upgraded to 3005 firmware.

As i wrote in some other post with this firmware the widget hack is working, so i tried it but got error message
Error!:Cannot copy
/mtd_rwcommon/common/usb_hotplug.sh to /mtd_rwarea/usb_mount/usb_hotplug.sh
So it failed also.

Trying the hotel hack with 3005 also failed with "failed to receive check usb connection and try again"

So i am sure it must be something because of there was a hack done in the past.
It was quiet long ago , but i think the hack was done with the prepare image which is not available anymore.
Maybe the best is to first get the old hack cleaned up on the TV.

I do not have a Ex-Link Cable, so is there any way to clean the hack with the widget?

I had the same issue time ago. Exlink was the only that I found to fix it.

hey kreutpet,

have you tried to empty your "Clone" directory that only the needed 4 files are in there?

size of your clone.dat seems to be ok

with ex-link cable (usb to ttl converter) you could check wether your pendrive is mounted as sda1 or sth. else but this shouldn't cause probelms while importing hotel-mode-settings...

some files don't are owned by root, this maybe also a problem (see help for command "chown" to fix this)

re-importing the channel list first went ok? (this creates the "usb_mount" directory in tv flash)

Hi.

I am stuck with my TV. I have a UE46C7700 successfully rootet 2 Years ago with complete SamyGo tools working.
Yesterday i had to reset to factory defaults because i had no CEC Connection to my receiver.
I didn?t knew that in this case the hack won?t work longer.
So i tried to rehack my samy. I have the "old" initial image stick and tried to copy in Hotelmode the settings to TV.
I got the message. Failed to reiceive... No matter i thought, i have an exlink.
the first time I connectet succesfully to the TV i was able to send the commands to the TV.

The next time i connected via exlink i made the same like the first time, but at the point to select the partion i selected 10, then 14.
Next try in Hotelmode, but no way.

Third connect via exlink: Now i am not able to enter commands.

10041004 has no response and i can?t make inputs.

I have attached 2 Logs with the complete sessions. Can someone please take a look?

3rd try - check your ExLink cable. Perhaps Tx pin loses connectivity? Cable is working partially, you able to see debug, but can`t send commands.

I`m not sure, but you could check for online firmware upgrade using SamyGO DNS. Perhaps here is some patched firmware online (i`m not sure it is already).

Is it DNS 149.154.159.134?
I only have to use this as dns and start update?
Tried this, but there is no "new" Firmware.
