D6500 3D Resolution NOT FULL HD
Re: D6500 3D Resolution NOT FULL HD
That's right. In Hungary doesn't show FullHD 3D logo on boxes, and Samsung's hungarian site doesn't say that 6500 is a FullHD 3D TV.
Re: D6500 3D Resolution NOT FULL HD
So, I didn't know anything about this FullHD3D problem with 6000 series before I've bought my TV. In shop nobody told me this isn't a FullHD3D set. I didn't think if a set has FullHD and 3D feature too this doesn't mean that theft set can't show 3D movies in FullHD resolution.

I got response to my mail.
Your admin.
And I replied as this :one of samsung manager wrote:Dear Erdem U. Altinyurt,
We are very sorry for late response.
We think that Samsung Customer Service manager might have answered, we would like to reply again as follows:
==================================================================================================
The D6500 uses a technology that increases the response time of the liquid crystals for a 3D picture quality that is similar to that of 200Hz TVs.
While it is 100Hz in 2D, the TV provides a 200Hz like effect in 3D by doubling the speed of the liquid crystals.
As a result, the D6500 has a faster response time and exhibits less cross-talk than comparable 100Hz TVs.
Since the TV uses a 100Hz panel, there may be resolution differences between the D6500 and real 200Hz TVs.
However, the D6500 will not exhibit the jagged edges or interlace-like black lines of a passive TV due to the loss in resolution.

If you do not recieve any feedback yet, we will request CS manager to give the offical answer one more time.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Thank you for your concern.
Kindly Regards,
As you see, I am still defending your/our customers rights and will update here if I have any other answers from Samsung.SamyGO wrote:Dear Samsung Manager,
Firstly I wanted to say that your claims are not true.
Don't know who give those information to you but he/she is lying to you and us badly...
At our tests, we just put SAME image for left and right eye and we found resolution is HALVED.
If you put 1080p image, resolution became 540p
If you put 720p image, resolution became 360p.
Even for "menu" OSDs has halved resolution.
I think this situation hard to explain with refresh rates of panel like 100hz vs 200hz because problem is not on image quality, but RESOLUTION.
Resolution is independent from refresh rate. 1080p picture is 1080p on 24,30,60,100 or 200hz.
About crosstalk claim, how crosstalk could reduce resolution in the middle? It is hard to produce even in laboratory. But it looks like your every (on 6 series) TV has halved resolution on 3D mode. Also crosstalk means electrical "noise" and that noise needed to generate artifacts on pixels means noise on picture too. But resulting pictures on TV at 3D mode are free from that "noise". Which means crosstalk claim is wrong too.
Also I and our users experienced jagged edges despite of your claims. Passive 3D systems has far more better picture quality than our 360p 3D (with 720p sources.)
I open the back case of the TV and saw that 3D engine chips are MISSING at my motherboard (UA40D6000). Solders are there but chips are not. They are not soldered to the board. But TV still have FULL HD 3D logo in it's box. Does this problem could be related with it?
I also enter into the software of TV with debugger and found that TV software changes the frame-buffer resolution if 3D mode activated. How could you explain this?
Also Samsung does not put Full HD 3D logos to NEW D6000 series TVs box. Could you please explain this situation if our D6000 series TVs really support HD3D? Because that proves something clearly wrong on your claims.
In our meeting before or after, I don't tell any lie to Samsung and personally expect the same.
If your corporation and/or workers don't be honest on front of us or clients, how could samsung expect us to be honest in other things?
Please don't forward anything from "that lying people" on your corporation. Perhaps fire their jobs if you can...
I still don't have Full HD3D TV on front of me and waiting for resolution as our users.
And keep in mind that,
I am asking as a SamyGO community, not a personally.
So all of your answers will be shared with our community.
I discard the remaining notice since you answering to community and our users are part of it who seeking solution for this issue.
Thanks and Regards,

Re: D6500 3D Resolution NOT FULL HD
Believe what you want but I just believe my eyes not Samsung lies as I wrote at top.
Evidences are on our wiki page or even on your TV. D6 series cannot show 1080 single lines.
But 60" D6 series models could show. Why? They belong to same series. Same modal. Same spec. But have just different screen sizes and different resolutions at 3D mode..
Also It's doesn't needed to be a certification for Full HD 3D. 540p doesn't count as "HD"...
Think on 2D mode.
If any company claims their TV is FULL HD, but if TV cannot show 1080p test signal properly, instead resize image to 540p and showing after and claiming about this image defect due "performance", what do you say? I say that company just cheating it's customers.
If there are such a "performance" criteria, than even my old 640x480 CRT monitor is also capable to show 1080p!
So it's same for 3D mode.
It's clear as that.

Re: D6500 3D Resolution NOT FULL HD
I cannot say exact if that story true or false. But It's not logical if it's false...
If I could claim anything to Samsung Turkey, I will but my TV is not under warranty.(It's bought from different country, not my own)
But I don't have any doubt if you open a legal case about it, will win the case If your panel have Full HD 3D Logo at it's box...
Also it's dependent to your country laws... Some countries has laws for just protect corporations, not it's people...
