Hi all,

I have on My F6500 the 1114.1 firmware version.
I tried to hack the TV. It looks everything OK!
Also SamyGO app confirmed the patch.

Right now when i send "ping" to TV, I get answer
but there is no any FTP connection!

I tried with ftp programs and SamyGO PVRDecoder but no connection via FTP!
"Unable to connect FTP Server"

Is there anyone who has firmware 1114.1 on the TV?
Does it actually work with this firmware version?

First of all .. make absolutely sure that your firewall, router, antivirus, anti-rootkits, and other anti-headacke-software/firmware/hardware
understands the need to allow traffic on port 21 + 23 / 2023 /1023

I did everything!
Also tried from a computer which doesnt have any firewall/antivirus etc.
I suppose this is due to the firmware (v 111.4) which is installed on the TV.

You could try downloading Putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgta ... nload.html),
or use build-in telnet client, and try the following ports: 23,1023, 2023

Like :
Telnet 192.168.1.9 23
Telnet 192.168.1.9 1023
Telnet 192.168.1.9 2023

If any of those 3 results in "anything", your TV is rooted, but you have port 21 issues.
Otherwise, you are probally right .. You need to get your version of firmware analyzed/hacked.

I tried also to connect TV with the built in telnet. (23,1023,2023)
Also no connection to the TV. Just ping is accepted.
Skype had been setup as "auto log in" like in the introductions.


My intern IP is not like 192.168.x.x It is like 10.0.0.xxx
It thought at first I might be the reason.
I use Fritzbox as router and both PC(Win7 Pro) and TV is connected via LAN cable.

It seems that you have not run samygo app with usb data connected to tv.

thank you fo the instructions. it worked on f6500 1114.1.
silly question now, but what can I do next with the root?
eg. can I transfer movies to an attached usb hdd on the TV?
what else?

PS: can the widgets also be extracted? so I can install several from different regions?

Actually rooted the TV by usb data and samygo.
Samygo also confirmed with two OK's after I started the root process.

If you confirm that It works on your TV with firmware 1114.1 ,
I have to check my Fritzbox modem. May be there is some connection problems with the port.

When a try to root my tv, skype must be running or not? I know it is necessary set to autostart

1. start skype
2. install and start SamyGO widget
3. Don`t touch skype anymore.
