I cannot say exact if that story true or false. But It's not logical if it's false...
If I could claim anything to Samsung Turkey, I will but my TV is not under warranty.(It's bought from different country, not my own)
But I don't have any doubt if you open a legal case about it, will win the case If your panel have Full HD 3D Logo at it's box...
Also it's dependent to your country laws... Some countries has laws for just protect corporations, not it's people...

I have a UK-shipped UE46D6750 box with the incorrect & misleading "Full HD-3D" logo, and can take photos, if that will help.

comet called me today samsung wrote my 6530 off i decided not to bother with samsung anymore as the last 3 tv`s ive had in the last six months have been rubbish or miss leading, ive gone over to panasonic now to give them a try.
