T-CHLCIPDEUC means CI+.

I saw here reports about patching the latest firmwares and using them on TV. But i can`t guarantee TV is ok with that.
If you had T-CHLCIPDEUC-2006 and TV was upgraded once to T-CHLCIPDEUC-2007, this means, the alternative firmware exists and you can roll back to it.
But if you don`t know what firmware was here before 2007 or maybe TV doesn`t have any alternative firmware on board, then no way.

If you're advanced user, you could run telnet enabler, make dump of alternative partitions and we can see - are empty or contain some firmware. The trick is, Samsung hides alternative firmware even it exists on tv.

Hi to all, by advance excuse me for my bad english !!

After searching the web for finding some firmware to upgrade my tv and apps because "contents library" and "internet@tv" are very cheap...
I discover this wonderfull project to give new wings for my samsung tv

I've got a Samsung LE46B650T2W, and like a noob who wants more contents, i flash the lastest firmware from samsung but i'm really disappointed, i see no changes...
actually, after entering service menu, my config is:

Image

So I think I don't have the CI+ version and i want to downgrade the firmware like the T-CHL7DEUC-2004.1

But after reading the wiki and the forum, there are two many different articles and I'm very confused so i don't know from which step begining...

I have to try this step first ? (ffb)
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2038#p9080

or this one... (telnet, trojan horse, ffb...) ?
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Forced ... r_firmware

ffb does include the trojan horse?

I prefer asking you before bricking my super tv

By advance, a big thanks for your reply ;)

Hi!

yes, your TV is CI and you can revert back to T-CHL7DEUC-2004.1 or 2005.0 if you want. Don`t confuse yourself, use FFB.

So i wanted to install SamyGo Remote but i need to downgrade but i have some questions

LExxB65x - firmware: T-CHL7DEUC

I downloaded the Latest FFB and extraced the archive to empty Fat32 formatted USB disk

"Download "pre-FEB" firmware for your TV (original only!)" What does this mean?? Are these the optional firmwares i can install on my TV? What one do i use?
Image
Model LE46B650T2WXXU

Some firmwares:
T-CHU7DEUC-3000.G
T-CHU7DEUC-3000.G

Hi. If you read morea accuratelly(your inacuracy can lead your tv in to the brick), you would notice your firmware is T-CHL7DEUC and only possible firmwares for downgrade are avalable (so called "pre feb) 2004.1 and 2005.0.
Yes, your tv is CI.

Force Firmware Back (FFB) v.0.5.9 Updated on: 30/12/2011

FFB is a samygo application for B series CI (not CI+ !!!) Samsng TV to force firmware downgrade on "February" firmwares. With help of this samygo "game" it`s easy to restore deleted by "postFEB" firmware u-boot and TOP debug, to have access to u-boot menu and TOP debug menu over ExLink cable in emergency repair situation (for CI devices only).

Attention!
Due unpredictable bricks FFB support of CI+ devices is suspended and most probably never will be enabled in future.

SUPPORTED TV MODELS ONLY:

LCD
LExxB65x - firmware: T-CHL7DEUC
LExxB75x - firmware: T-CHL7DEUC

CI+ models are not supported!
UExxB7000/8000 - firmware: T-CHUCIPDEUC
PSxxB85x - firmware: T-CHUCIPDEUC
LExxB65x/750 - firmware: T-CHLCIPDEUC
PSxxB860 - firmware: T-CHLCIPDEUC

LNxxB65x - firmware: T-CHEAUSC
LNxxB75x - firmware: T-CHEAUSC <<< This is our model: LN40B750...>>>
.
.
.

MAKE BEFORE START FFB

First you need enable (if not already) copy/remove feature in Content Library Manager, enable debug and disable Watchdog:

TV is off <<< Done >>>
Enter Service Menu...
on USA models: [MUTE] [1] [8] [2] [POWER] <<< Done >>>
Change setting (Control -> Sub Option -> Wiselink Write -> On<-off) <<< Done >>>
Change setting (Control -> Sub Option -> Watchdog -> Off<-on) <<< Done >>>
Change setting (Control -> Sub Option -> rs232-jack -> debug<-UART<-Logic) <<< Done >>>
Power off TV [POWER] <<< Done >>>
Remove all USB drives/keys attached to TV <<< Done >>>

1. Download Latest FFB and extract archive to empty Fat32 formatted USB disk. /samygo-ffb directory must be on root of USB with file structure on it:

Code: Select all
/samygo-ffb/
------clmeta.dat
----------/FFB/
----------------clmeta.dat
----------------README
----------------ffb_cip.png
----------------ffb.sh
----------------loader.so
----------------md5sum
----------------SamyGODecrypter
----------------shadow.ttf

<<< Done >>>

Attach USB to TV. <<< Done >>>

<<< At this point, TV did not automatically start and go into Content Library Manager, so I manually started TV and manually navigated to CLM... The instructions seem to imply this will happen automatically after attaching USB... FYI >>>

2. Enter [Content Library Manager] -> Select [USB] -> [Children] <<< Done >>>

3. Use Copy function (yellow RC button) on TV to copy 4.SamygoHorse_fake content to TV internal flash.
(After pressing yellow button, choose "Copy all"). <<< Unsuccessful! >>> :(

<<< At this point, the message "Do you want to copy all contents? USB > TV Memory?" was shown. I replied "OK" to which was displayed "Samygo... 9 file(s) 0.91MB" and "An unknown error has occurred"... though the TV memory display was "46.47/189.00 Available">>>

<<< I stopped at this point, though I do have three (3) other questions below on steps 4 and 7 >>>

Detach USB from TV.

4. Download "pre-FEB" firmware for your TV (original only!).

<<< The first choice appears to be a zip file and others are executables. I chose the first executable, but... Apart from that, how do you know which one to chose? >>>

Some firmwares:

T-CHU7DEUC-3000.G
T-CHU7DEUC-3000.G
T-CHU7DEUC-2009.0
T-CHL7DEUC-2004.1
T-CHL7DEUC-2005.0
Other will be added by request.

If you don`t find firmware you need, ask on forum.

5. Extract firmware to USB (you can use the same usb with FFB app). Do not change firmware files, use them "as is"

6. After firmware upgrade USB disk is done, on the root directory you have to see T-CHL7DEUC (for LExxB65x, LExxB75x, PSxxB65x ) or T-CHU7DEUC (for UExxB7xxx, UExxB8xxx, PSxxB85x), or T-CHEAUSC (for LNxxB65x, LNxxB75x), T-CHE7AUSC (for LNxxB7xxx, LNxxB8xxx, P(U)NxxB8xx(x))
for CI+ devces: T-CHUCIPDEUC

7a. For CI firmware only: <<< If not a CI - skip to 8? Or should there be a 7b? >>>

Files [T-xxxxxxx]-u-boot.bin, [T-xxxxxxx]-fnw.bin, [T-xxxxxxx]-Image (where xxxxxxxx is firmware version) needed to be placed in the same directory as exe.img.enc, appdata.img.enc and other firmware files (inside /image/ directory). (extract from archive as is e.g. [T-CHL7DEUC]-u-boot.bin , do not rename!). You can`t downgrade firmware without those images using FFB.

Structure you have to get on USB(example with T-CHL7DEUC, if your TV has other firmware, you have to get your firmware here):

Code: Select all
/T-CHL7DEUC
------crc
------ddcmp
------MicomCtrl
------rc.local
------run.sh.enc
----------/image
----------------appdata.img.enc
----------------exe.img.enc
----------------[T-CHL7DEUC]-u-boot.bin
----------------[T-CHL7DEUC]-fnw.bin
----------------[T-CHL7DEUC]-Image.bin
----------------info.txt
----------------serial_temp
----------------version_info.txt

<<< Should the following be 7b? >>>

Download required images (not for CI+):

LNxxB65x, LNxxB75x, PNxxB850
UExxB7xxx, UExxB8xxx
