There's a new firmware update "T-MST12DEUC-2000.2" available for the F-series. Anyone tried the root on this one already?

sorry, but I did not understand, to be able to use hacks, you should never update, and this I understood, that 'I wanted to hear.
to be able to do root on this tv, I need to file non-smt?
in that sense and say that 'waste time and money?

Already answered there. No matter if anybody tried or not, NEVER upgrade.

Yes, you need to apply non-MST method, and NEVER upgrade

There is no risk to "find a brick" as long as you try to understand what you're doing and if you don't play the sorcerer's apprentice
From the moment your TV will be rooted, yes you can use PVRdecoder for example, and many patches that "make life easier" you may find in [F] Software and Extras sections.

It's not only important to NOT update it's also important to disable OTN Support in EXTENDED SERVICE MENU or TV will update itself:) Also hack may NOT WORK CORRECTLY if you don't disable OTN Support:)

I'm well aware of the "never upgrade" warning. But Samsung is about to introduce a reorganized Smart Hub and I'm sill hoping to finally get v4 of Netflix to work with european TV models as well.

2-disabled update
3 usb fat, and root!
and looking at what software might be right for me
