Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
OK, i made it step by step like the tutorial on the first site. The installscript runs without any errors. After the Installation, i turn off/on the tv with my remote. After that, i can't connect via telnet. I tested skype and it runs normaly. After that, i disconnected the powersupply from the tv and waited 2-3sec and plugged power on again. Then the tv starts normaly and reboots itself 3-4 times. After that everything is fine and ftp works.juuso wrote:@DeejayT, could you be please more detail? What did you do step by step?

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
This one is MST, there should be no problem. Do you have non-empty /mnt folder on TV?DeejayT wrote:The same here. UE55H7000 with fw 2130
EDIT: I have disconnect the TV from powersupply. After reconnect, it reboots three or four times and now it is stable. Now i can connect with telnet on port 3123 and FTP also works
I do NOT receive any PM. Please use forum.

/mnt folder is empty!
Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
It means root is incomplete (no extensions, no Telnet on port 23...), you have to follow first post advice:DeejayT wrote:/mnt folder is empty!
Then check if /mnt is still emptyIt seems that having both a recording device AND the rooting USB attached helps a lot.sectroyer wrote:Shut down TV. Unplug usb with rooting data. Plug one of your Free usb disk. Start TV and once it loads hit REC. It will ask if it can format the disk. Format and record something then shutdown tv, attach SECOND usb (the one with rooting data), start TV

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
Has anyone been able to log in via ssh? There seems to be an ssh server running, but it doesn't accept any password I have tested. I thought that user=root and password=SamyGO should work, but it doesn't.
Telnet at port 3123 works of course. I become user app after log in. Ftp works too.
Is there any working web server running on my TV? There seems to be something on port 8080, but I only get the response "404 - Not Found".

Then did you try to attach a recording device as described in my post just above?leikli wrote:Telnet at port 3123 works of course. I become user app after log in. Ftp works too.
(and see if Telnet works on 23 afterwards)

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
I already had a USB drive connected to my TV before I connected the USB stick. I never disconnected it during the rooting process and it is still connected.zoelechat wrote:Then did you try to attach a recording device as described in my post just above?leikli wrote:Telnet at port 3123 works of course. Telnet on port 23 does not work, but it works on port 3123.
EDIT: Telnet on port 33 also works. I will become root there.

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
When I inspected my sam.log file, I noticed the following:leikli wrote:Has anyone been able to log in via ssh? There seems to be an ssh server running, but it doesn't accept any password I have tested. I thought that user=root and password=SamyGO should work, but it doesn't.
Could this explain why I cannot log in via ssh? Am I the only one with this issue? Since I have a non-MST TV, I would expect some errors.mount: mounting /mtd_rwarea/profile on /etc/profile failed: Invalid argument
