UE40C6700 bricked on firmware downgrade

You have to modify EXISTING Version file (either Version.1 - in your case, or Version.0).
So:
1. connect to TV over telnet
2. modify Version.1 by replacing ID string (just copy-paste in your console):

echo SWU_T-VALDEUC_001008_I04_ES000DS000KS000RS000_100403 > /mtd_rwarea/Version.1
3. do not reboot TV
4. Attach USB with lower firmware you want to upgrade to
5. Follow instructions on TV screen until TV reboots after successful firmware upgrade.
6. Thats all.
