You are aware that it will "go away" if updates NOT blocked on router ?

when the skype root didt work 9 month ago on my tv but the non skype based method worked.

will this method now work?

Why "worked" ? Why NOT simply "works" ?:)

skye hack never worked on my hu with t-nt firmware.
i had to use the other hack that came out later from you.
now im wondering if the new skype hack will work on my tv?
or is it only for tvs that used skype hack before?

Skype root works on T-NT with early firmwares (no idea of the deadline though, I'd say before dec.2014)
Otherwise boundaries remain the same for "old-Skype" and "new-Skype".

As I see it, there are two separate problems; the risk of unintentional firmware upgrade and the risk of losing Skype. Both can be prevented by blocking certain domains or IP-addresses. These domains or IP-addresses are not necessarily the same. As I have understood it, the domains in your link are only for preventing firmware upgrade. Maybe I have misunderstood it.

Hi guys, deleted 2130+ WLAN root by Telnet command, downgraded to 2113 and followed the instructions for new skype root, except installing Skype because its not existing in Store anymore.Of course no root and
TV freezes every boot with USB Plugged in. Does anybody know what to do?

***Managed to get it work*** upgraded to 2130 and started over-> works perfectly

I tried to use this method, but something went wrong during the rooting process. The widget started normally but the TV never rebooted. I think something I have done before prevented the TV from rebooting. It was over a year since I booted my TV, and I have forgotten all the steps I did. I have a vague memory of a setting in the factory mode settings, that made my TV more stable and prevented rebooting.

In any way, I put back the old USB-stick from the previous rooting, and the root was still there. However, the Skype icon in the SmartHub was gone. I think I have a mixture of the old and new rooting, but it works. Maybe I should try to complete the new rooting.

I have still blocked all internet access from my TV, since I still don't know exactly what domains to block to prevent my TV from losing Skype. I am not sure if this still is a problem.
