Teletext i think too uses sub screen...
AFAIK, we have two different kinds of screens in Samsung TVs (at least 4 independent "screens" in total, with their own scalers):
1) two "DP" (digital picture ?) screens: main & sub; full resolution; internally using YUV/YCrCb planar formats (I guess) for post-processing/enhancements etc; main screen is connectable to many different external and internal video/picture sources; sub screen connectivity may be somehow limited;
2) two "OSG" (on screen graphics ?) planes; used for: OSD menus/banners, media player controls, widgets, SDL, TTX, subtitles etc.; basically (A)RGB packed format framebuffers; not able to display video from external inputs (not directly, anyway); limited resolution, uncommon alpha channel implementation ( resolution & alpha channel perhaps fixable with a few tweaks

).

I tried again but could not reproduce the issue. It's not possible to remember what code sequence preceded the PIP appearing, as I was trying all the buttons.

In PIP mode is: ????
Custom / user defined geometries for sub (PIP) screen are not (yet) implemented ;(.

Hello,
The resizer works really great but in fact I always use the the resizing for all DTV SD channels.
AR 1.78:1 IN=720x576i CROP=[0,0,720,576] OUT=[48,27,1824,1026]
What file must I change in my TV to set the modifications permanently?

Sure, use Resizer to change TV resolution to confortable status.
