Enter to TV with Ex-Link on 3000.2 FW
Re: Enter to TV with Ex-Link on 3000.2 FW
One of reasons why we don`t have possibility login to shell with Ex-Link could be jumper in motherboard of TV. Like in computer. Like service jumper. I remember one PC with jumpered m/b, i couldn`t install any OS until i searched out and removed this jumper. I know, it seems incongruous... For example earlier firmwares didn`t check position of jumper, but 3000.2 does. I haven`t seen inside of my TV, there are just my reasoning.

A reset button is available on some models, and its removed from some others. But you can reset bios via this jumper (or by short circuiting terminals)
Re: Enter to TV with Ex-Link on 3000.2 FW
yah, but this procedure doesn`t help login to shell or revert fw back...

Re: Enter to TV with Ex-Link on 3000.2 FW
Hi,
I`m sucessfuly reverted back from 3000.2 to earler firmware via manual flashing of exe.img and appdata.img, and now i`m using gdb trick. Finaly i decided, that it`s time for flashing u-boot partition to have serial acces via ExLink cable to have backdoor if something will wrong. I found this message from erdem_ua:
1. Do i have to use bml tool to restore the second partition (tbml2) with the image attached in erdem`s post?
2. Do i have to make the steps from first post in this forum. E.g.:
Should i leave /dev/tbml7 untouched?
My TV is CI non plus. Le40B653T5WXBT. Thank you in advance.
p.s. i checked wiki article: Dumping_and_Flashing_images_by_hand, there is nohing about u-boot. I only gues, that this procedure is equal for all other partitions, not just for exeDSP and appdata...

Aquadran said that all b series uboot is compatible except PCI device/ethernet like devices...
I wish it's works.
After please try to boot from USB key. If you are successful, than don't scare from making your TV bricked

Re: Enter to TV with Ex-Link on 3000.2 FW
You cannot see uboot partition with "df" command.
With (1) & (2), you can repair your uboot partition successfully.
uboot partition make you enable to load external firmwares.
You don't needed to flash tbml7 or any other partitions...

Re: Enter to TV with Ex-Link on 3000.2 FW
This is what i did (from manual (1) and (2) steps +:
It seems Tv boots well. My original tbml0/2 was definitely empty, i checked dump with HEX editor.
Now i can enter u-boot menu.
Why i still can`t enter TOP debug menu with d.e.b.u.g and 1198282 1198282, if my tbml0/2 was rewritten with good one?
Code: Select all
1. bml.dump /dev/bml0/2 /mtd_swu/uboot.img.orig
2. copied erdems tbml2 to /mtd_swu/
3. bml.erase /dev/bml0/2
4. bml.restore /dev/bml0/2 /mtd_swu/tbml2Now i can enter u-boot menu.
