How about the remaining SamyGo_data folder? That one still goes onto the USB stick?
Yeah this one goes to USB.
TOMillr wrote:Update: I've rezipped the files inside the SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix folder. But again, I only get the security warning.
Did you log in to develop and developer accounts? On you had to set up online account to have network installation working AFAIK ;)

Yes, I've been logged in as the user "develop" without entering a password. But the developer account seems to be working properly, because I get the corresponding menu items like "sync" in the "more apps" submenu.

All I get is this popup-message after the SamyGo app has been pushed to the tv:

"Failed to install. For more information, visit http://www.samsungdforum.com/Support/TVAppsSecurity"

Great but can you "puts anything else"? With incorrectly working developer account you should have all buttons but security alerts :)

Do you have a link to another app I should try to make sure that the developer account is working?

Alright, I was able to transfer "WebTV2014" and the old "NHL Game Center" apps using the developer account. So this step seems to work fine. But as soon as I try to transfer the Hulu Plus or SamyGo app I get the error message again.

Maybe Samsung has tightened up the restrictions on the new firmware which apps can be transferred?

Hmm. Try removing everything from "data" directory and then zipping and installing once again :)

Ahh and one more thing. I think in order to make it working that you need to change config.xml. To be more precise change this:

Code: Select all

    <network>n</network>
Into this:

Code: Select all

    <network>y</network>

Ehh I don't have much experience with installing over network... On your place I would work more on making USB work ;)

Just some quick feedback on the USB method that might be helpful for others:

- the SamyGo app doesn't show up in the SmartHub when another usb stick (for DVR function) is also connected to the tv
- works with ExFAT formatted USB stick as well

Haven't tried to root 2000.2 yet, though.
