I have installed skype on my UE48H6240 using InstallSkype_H_MST14_GFS_5.zip
but i cannot connect, I always get the message:
"It's not possible to connect to skype. Please contact skype to obtain assistance"

You said it works for you
Could you please share what you have done to have skype working ?

It also stopped working on 2 TVs in our family some days ago. It appears Microsoft is now locking the TV app out of its Skype servers.

Is anybody here able to find out how Microsoft detects the TV app and maybe patch the app to spoof a newer version (maybe an Android version) of Skype that is not rejected by the servers?

What is this - are you happy they blocked the app on the server?

And no, somebody can for sure, if the Skype server thinks it´s the Android app that tries to sign in...

Nobody reversed the protcol and nobody will. After reversing that you will have to reverse tv's camera api, write new client, blah blah blah Forget tons of money & tons of work Good luck
