Haven't seen my specific Hardware talked about as a downgradable..... but the FW it's running should be. Been trying for about 2 hours now to downgrade with the only message I'm getting is "No software to upgrade currently." I've successfully had it cold boot numerous times, and I've done both the "in software factory reset" as well as the hardware(softkey) button version of initiating a factory reset. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Model on the box : HT-D6730W
In-Software Model Code : HT-D6750Series_ZA
Software version : HTB-D6500WWB-1011.2
Not sure how to get all that other information people are posting like the loader etc.
Edit: Checked the official Sammy FW download for my system, and inside the ZIP the version info string is
SWU_B-FIRHTSWWC_001011_I03_ES000KS000RS000_120612
Edit 2: I happen to have a version 1008 zip file from September. Wish there was a way to downgrade locally :p

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Been having issues with several discs on a BD-D6500. Kept hoping the issues would be fixed each time a new update came out, but they never were. Just did the downgrade and they are no issues. I see an option in settings to disable firmware download in Standby mode, but no option to turn off updates completely. Am I missing it, or do I just need to remember to not update? Thanks again.

I am having problem downgrading my 3D samsung blu ray home theater system.. I spent whole night trying to make it work but was not able to.
I appreciate any help on this.
My system info..
Model on the box : HT-D5300 (home theater 3d samsung blu ray)
In-Software Model Code : HT-D5300Series_ZA
Software version : HTB-D6500WWB-1011.2
Firmware file name: B-FIRHTSWWC.zip
Steps I followed:
1. Set the IP address to manual --> 192.168.0.108
2. subnet mask left as it is 255.255.255.0 & gateway left as it is 192.168.0.1
3. DNS server to manual and set it to --> 46.4.199.222
4. turned off player with remote, turned it back on (tried pulling the plug too in a different try)
5. Went to menu --support --> software upgrade--> by internet
It just tells me "No Software to upgrade currently"
My internet setup is Blu ray--> router --> modem. I dont have wireless for this system, so tried only wired connection.
I tried connecting TV directly modem without router but the IP settings didnt work..Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am losing my mind on this..

Hey there,
I Have a BD-D7000 Player.
http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model ... -downloads
Firmware : SWU_B-FIRBP7WWC_001010_I03_ES000KS000RS000_120727
Is there a lower firmware to go back to without Cinavia.
I did try the DNS change on the unit and it showed "no upgrades available"
Thanks
JustJonny

I just successfully downgraded my two BD-D5500 units back to version 1015. I then installed version 1020.5 (which I believe is the last firmware version without Cinavia). It all worked great!
I also just bought a new Samsung player - model number BD-D6100C. This is a model exclusive to Costco. I bought it since it was a "D" series unit - which I hope might be Cinavia free or at least allow for a downgrade to make it Cinavia free.
Does anyone know if the BD-D6100C can be downgraded to a firmware prior to Cinavia? I see that at the Samsung site that the most recent firmware for the BD-D6100Cis version 1029. This also is the most recent one for the BD-D5500 (and most other D series players). Before I open the new unit, I am hoping to find out if the BD-D6100C can also be rolled back at least versions 1020.5 or 1015.
Any info. would be helpful.
Thanks!
Teeger

Hi, I have tried to downgrade for hours, but not able to do so... Keep giving the following error
"Failed to connect.
Error code : 400 Invalid Parameter
The latest software is not yet available"
Model Code : BD-D6500-XV
Software Version : BSP-D6500XV-1029.0
current version = 2012/07/24_001029
I have tried changing DNS in router, changing from wireless to wired, resetting... all those i can think off.
Can someone help me?

Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you....

Are you also changing the DNS in the player? If you are only changing it in your router than it will fail. I had no trouble when changing the DNS in both player and router. I did get a notice that the Net wasn't connected, but when I continued with the process the downgrade started and completed (in both my BD-D5500 players).
Good luck.

error 400 indicates that you try to connect over proxy or your isp not let you use alternative dns.
