Hi guys.

Anyone knows how to fix Error 601 - Unstable internet or something ?
Tried changing DNS on player and/or router, still the same.

HT-D5100 @ latest FW - 1016.3 I think.

Check cmd output.. FW is B-FIRHTBEUC so I think it should work when I get DNS working

I have also been trying to understand how this works (how to make it work) on a BD-D6700-ZA. I picked up this player to take the place of my dead HTPC and it was fine until my wife upgraded. I tried to just jump in and follow the steps to downgrade and I got a 601 error also.

Is the BD-D6700 downgrade-able? my current firmware is: 2012/03/02_001008
What version will I be downgraded to?
Am I doing it right and the 601 error is something I cant fix?
The one for DL from Samsung website at this time is named B-FIRBSPWWC.zip if that helps

I don't see it (B-FIRBSPWWC) in post #1 so I doubt it's downgradeable at the moment..

I managed to downgrade 2 days ago, by setting up my own local DNS server (ubuntu + bind9) resolving samsungotn.net to 46.4.199.222
Confirmed working (B-FIRHTBEUC_001112, the one you mention no user reports), cinavia free!

how do I find what the zip file name was for the firmware currently running on my machine?
it just tells me: 2012/03/02_001008

AWESOME... I was finally able to downgrade all the way back to 1.09 no Cinavia. WOOT....thanks for the info.

My player is the BD-5700.

I'd prefer to have the 1.19 version which was right b4 the protection was enabled but I can't really complain since it's gone now.

SamyGO Extensions don't seem to be working

I followed those instructions http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Rootin ... cpu_models and got a widget named "SamyGOE" but when I run it, a blue popup comes up saying "Extensions-Pack is Nested on this Device!".
Can't connect to the device using SSH/NETCAT/HTTP/SAMBA.

Tried removing widget and re-syncing and re-syncing without removing it but nothing.

Any advice?

Hello everyone

I am really newbie but i think i can follow instructions well.
My problem is when i set DNS to IP given in 1st post, my BD-D6900 says timout check network...etc.

Have i made any user error or is just some other problem with sw dowgrading etc.
By the way, my sw version: 1011 unfortunatelly i have upgraded sw before i was here first...

ignore network errors, just go to software upgrade menu and check for new firmware.
