hey, I would love to block ads on Youtube on my Samsung UE55H6400 (t-mst14deuc-2900.0). I managed to downgrade to firmware 0000 and I think I installed root successfully but I don't understand how to use instructions in the first post of this topic. "Run following command on your tv", "2. Change permissions of the script " and "3. Run script" doesn't ring any bell... How can I confirm that i rooted my tv properly? Can somebody help me with those commands? I don't know much about cmd and telnet... Thank you in advance.

Hey for android I can strongly recommend YouTube Vanced! It has adblocking, you can turn your screen of and minimize the app while playing videos.

Sadly, YouTube changed the way they deliver ads and so my script is not working anymore for youtube.. Really miss it tho..

Script no longer works.
Download host file link is dead.
I have tried various blocking lists but none of them block Youtube ads.
Only solution that works is to manually find ad servers.
Download Firefox Browser Developer
Open youtube video in Firefox Browser Developer
then open Menu -> More tools -> Web Developer Tools.
Start playing youtube video and in Web Developer Tools -> Network section look for advertising servers
I add this list to hosts file, it contains the most google blocking servers from the lists that I found (597 google ad servers)
You must replace from the begginig of each line "||" with "0.0.0.0", then add at the beginning of file in 1st line 127.0.0.1 localhost copy modified server list in /mtd_rwarea/hosts file, at the end of file add servers you found in Firefox Browser Developer -> Web Developer Tools then restart TV

I found these ad server that curently blocks ads in Youtube:

How do I run commands?

do you have the 720p version of the youtube addon
or the 1080p version of the addon installed on your tv h series?
