tested on uexxb7020 (T-CHU7DEUC) original shipped firmware (2000/01/01_000104), and samsung dlna client
if i start to play a video from tools-menu different resolutions settings are avail. but if i select one of them i have to stop and start the video again to take effect. (exit from video with "return" and start play again)

That's right. You have two choices: Switch back to fit or original before switching off the tv or load the patch first. Without the patch exeDSP doesn't know how to handle the advanced settings.

That sounds like exeDSP uses a different event number for resolution changing. In aspect.c, function aspect_handle_left_right, an event is sent with a number. I've already seen 0x490 and 0x491 for this. Maybe you want to try different event codes or have a look into exeDSP.
