Re: Record TV over USB

Post by tiredjoe »

Hello,
when i start PVR+ the overview menu says recording but the filesize always remains 0MB...
i connected with telnet to TV and looked at /dtv/usb/sda1 where i save the records but while recording the filesize of these files also doesn't increase...
model: PS50B850
firmware: 3000

I hope anybody knows a solution for this issue... thanks in advance :)

It's probably due flash device that you are using.
Try with samba or nfs shares.

ok the samba share wasn't correctly mounted so PVRPlus couldn't write to it.
But it still writes only 0 bytes..
The only case when it works is when i try to record a digital channel. Then it correctly saves the video... But normal TV it doesn't :(

tiredjoe, please read MANUALS before use. It's perfectly normal. Program cannot capture ANALOG channels because digital tuner is not used. We just save stream from digital tuner with this app, thats all!

source9467, I don't know what is your problem. That might something related with your locale setting...

First of all, thank you for this wonderful application :)

I have found out that my TV has a timer feature. It can be reached through MENU>SETUP>TIME> and then TIMER 1, TIMER 2 and TIMER 3

There you can set the time to have the TV automatically turned on, the time to have the TV automatically turned off and the Source. You can even set what days you would like to activate these settings:

I think that these built-in functions would be very useful for scheduling recordings...
