@zoelechat
with 10_01_FontSizeColorPatch.zip I lost samygo functionality. I had to reinstall samygo twice to see if the problem persists. Anyway, I renamed it as it was before at 99_99_FontSizeColorPatch.zip and do not see any problems
TV: UE40F7000 - T-FXPDEUC-1115.0 - SamyGO Extensions on F series
TV: UE55ES7000S - T-ECPDEUC-2003.4 - SamyGO tool Right from USB - no develop account is needed
TV: UE40C6710 - T-VALDEUC 3011 - Hacking TV over Hotel mode (C650 T-VALDEUC-3009.2)
BD-Player: BD-E6100 - B-FIRBPEWWC 1063.3 - rooted, no more Cin@vi@
NAS: CIFS: MAG250 NFS: Playon!HD

@sectroyer
Could you please give me the value of original hardcoded font color?

I just want to patch default values in startup script stop case...
Thanks :)

Code: Select all

static void usage_and_exit(const char *self)
{
...
	fprintf(stderr, "\t-c, --color\t\tcolor in hex ARGB format (def. 0xFFF0F0F0)\n\n", self);

Hi,
If anyone can give short instructions about applying this patch, I would be gratfeul :)
First of all - is it possible to be done on F series? If yes, then continue reading :) If no, then please somebody confirm this so I can stop trying :)
I rooted my Samsung F8000 - it works fine; I can connect to ftp and I've managed to combine multiple apps from different countries, but "larger" subtitle support is another thing I want to do. But really don't know how.
Which app do you use to connect to TV? Putty or something else? Using Telnet on port 23 to do this?
Where this .zip file shoud be stored to apply this patch code? In one of TV's directories or somewhere else?
I also downloaded these two .zip files (for startup init) to usb but how do I activate it? I'm lost here :)
Thanks in advance for your reply and instructions for "dummies" :)

E only. F support coming in the future :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!

zoelechat wrote:Ok, here it is:
-Args/path to be defined on top of script
-USB STOP protection
-stdout/stderr sent to /dtv/logfile and script status)
99_99_FontSizeColorPatch.zip
updated:
-missing 'echo' in usb_stop that did not affect functioning, just syntax error :mrgreen:
-now patching default values on script stop case.
I extracted 99_99_FontSizeColorPatch.init to /mnt/etc/init/d/ and if I run manually from terminal it's working fine but not automatically after rebooting tv

Could you connect to http://YOUR_TV_IP:1080/cgi-bin/test.cgi and paste here script status then output when you click on start?
