Thanks, I was not aware of that. The file relevant for my TV seems to be 14_UNxxHU90xx.zip. However, it is 1.1GB in size. It would be good if you can download it directly from Samsung yourself. I have downloaded it now, but I don't think I have any good place myself to upload it, at least not all of it.

@leikli, we have already all files, no need to download anything. Now sectroyer is compiling something from your sources

p.s. correct file for your TV is 14_UE40H6590.zip, which is supposed to be for golf.s.

First, I was a bit sceptical, but after I checked the information in the service menu, I am convinced. I have attached a picture of it. Maybe it can provide more information that can be useful.

The SamyGO rooting has not yet worked completely on my non-MST TV, and makes it unstable. However, I wanted to give the rooting a new chance and do a "clean" rooting after a reset of the TV. Before the rooting, I mounted the samyext4.img image under Linux and replaced the newmount.ko file with the new one. I also disabled the experimental patches (starting number 90_ and up). I used this modified, but otherwise clean, samyext4.img to root my TV.

The last time I tried to root the TV, it was very hard to make the Skype hack to work. I encountered the same issues also this time. I tried everything I had tried the last time, but nothing made the Skype hack work. Then I reminded myself that the rooting did not start to work until the next morning, the last time I tried. I usually set the auto-start timer to start the TV in the morning. Maybe this triggered the Skype hack to work the last time. This time, I set the timer to first power off, and then power on a minute later. After this, the Skype hack worked. The TV rebooted a number of times, as it should, and responded to telnet at port 33.

Unfortunately, this "clean" re-rooting did not really help, and I still experience the same problems as the last time. Neither SSH nor telnet to port 23 work, and will reboot the TV. The TV will also wake up spontaneously after a few hours, maybe not with a picture, but it will at least respond to telnet.

SSH or telnet won't start working until we figure out what what the problem in the first place... Anyway good you explained how to make Skype hack work. Zoelechat maybe we should add this tutorial to first post in H rooting?
