Ok thanks for reply, but is it worth trying the H method? But this will disable Blu-ray Disc playback?

Sorry, what do you mean, I can try the H method on the H6500 and still have Blu-ray Disc playback?

When will new rooting for 1112 be released?

Thanks

I mean that "works" :)

doesn't matter 1112, 4343 or 54543.
If "latest fw" root not works :)
As soon as x,y,z STOPS being "latest fw" you can start counting :)
We also want to make sure update blocks root :)

What if there won't be any new fw?

Can you be certain that blocking manual check blocks all other possible variants (if there's any).

I only blocked the first 2 urls in the "how to block post".
It seems to work, I get timeout.
However my router only seem to block exactly the urls provided. Also I only block port 80.
I just want to make sure I really blocked it.
If I block more of the urls in the post I get other issues, ie device falsely report Internet Connection failing etc.

Samsung promised they WILL release new fw. But if encounter any problems we will ask them once again ;)

I block EXACTLY how it described in link my signature, full domains all ports and have no problems :)

It's described HOW you should block :) We know only this works :)

Is Samsung in anyway authorising this "rooting business"? I didn't realise you had such contact with them...

Well it doesn't mention which ports to block...But I guess you mean all ports...

On my router I don't think it's possible to block all ports, nor all urls containing a string...

Until now I released root, people rooted, samsung released update, people got root removed (because they did NOT block updates correctly!!!) and god back here complaining :P That's over, If Samsung doesn't patch the bug by itself I will ask them to :P

Their email address is public knowledge you also can report bugs to them :) It's nothing "special" :)

Listen NOT my fault, you have to be sure you blocked correctly :) if you can't block by router disconnect cable :) block internet access to device your choice :) Doesn't matter if I release root today or next month or whatever as soon as Samsung releases update and you did NOT block correctly you will get auto-updated :)

I have also reported bugs, but I don't feel like it got any special attention. Perhaps bugs reported by you are considered quite severe...

I don't blame you. But as mentioned post doesn't mention any ports...
Blocking internet isn't an option since I mainly use it for streaming video from the internet.
I just have to keep my thumbs that my current block is enough then...
