..
as long you have the option switch to alternate firmware in the sw-update menu (you downloaded a firmware but selected install later)
your device won't detect any new firmware from otn-server.

Warranty is in place, the device was one day old:).
But I'll be surprised if Samsung will accept to repair it under warranty terms.
Of course I'll give a try. Anyone in this forum went trough this before? If yes, what exactly you told Samsung?

Anyway, I was more curious whether you can figure out the cause of the issue.
I have now other device same model (thanks God they cheap nowadays) and I'm pretty sceptic to repet the downgrade process even though I really want to get rid of cinavia and use samygo features too.

Thanks for all!

1. You brough your BD home, connected for the first time
2. You saw popup for firmware upgrade and accepted it
3. After reboot your device seems bricked.

This is absollutelly covered by warranty... And this is the true story... isn`t? :)

samsung coded shit in the firmware flash procedure...
this happens if someone has no coding style, on some firmwares its working on others not.
the main problem is that in some firmwares are 4 images to flash in others 5...

Anyone have a link to download BSP-D6500ZX-1029.0 07/24/2012 for BD-D6500 from Samsung's website, or know where to find an archive for older firmwares?

Hi arris,

Do you think there is any chance that a downgrade of B-FIRBP7WWC (D7500) to 1005 will ever be possible?
A few months ago when I first asked about it there was no hope but now, as I see some new development in this area I'm hoping again.

Happy holidays!

Hello,
back again after a few days and i can tell you : I'm sure that my internet provider do forbid alternate DNS use. I mail them for confirmation but have no answer yet.
So i will try from a friend connexion in a few days....I saw changes on the first page =>"Ip setting...Smarthub...149.154.159.134..." Does that replace the 46.4.199.222 previous DNS setting ? or what.

There is a lot of internet provider who does forbid alternate DNS use. Can you propose a solution for those you are in such situation ?
Could we imagine download your 1090 firmware and create a server at home so we could downgrade via our router and local DNS setting ?

Thanx again.
