You must have done something wrong. Maybe you are still doing something wrong?

... Unpack the firmware and see what is going wrong there...

I uploaded the new fw last night as well.. The same problem
I guess no way to revert back to the old skype and/or old 1115 fw?

There is a way to install the old version of Skype, but I'm 99% sure that Skype update is not the problem.
There is no way to downgrade firmware.
But as you didn't get ftp access with new Skype on older firmware, it looks like you are doing something wrong. Both I and greenhorn have ftp access using the new Skype. So it is possible that the firmware update is not the problem.

I can confirm that I can still get root access on my F6270 even with the new Skype app and firmware version 1118.

65F8000 still not working. .. I tried the samygo widget and data.zip from the thread here..

6 series has different firmware, so that's not really relevant. But thanks for reporting that Skype update has not caused any problems.

Som how about F8000 and 1118? Is it safe? I'm on 1115 at the moment and I don't see any problem with it.

If you read the previous posts will see that F8000 with 1118 lost the root.... so, you can try to upload 1118 and report back the result
do you still with the old Skype version ?
