waring... my f6500 did an autoupdate to fw 1118 - still everything working, but how the hell was that even possible, i disabled autoupdate 100%...
however, it's a great relief all is just normal now... just pvrDecoder gave me a great shock: when clicken decode there was a wierd error-pop-up... turns out it was a skin-problem, choose another skin and problem solved

I own ES series. The thing is that couple of days ago my TV became unresponsive at remote control or at the panel controls. I had to unplug & plug back the power cord in order to make it function properly again. Then I noticed that I have lost root privileges. I've rooted using Skype method, and I'm using SamyGO only to be able to decode recordings and to get bigger subtitles font at mkv movies. Basically I need to have ftp and telnet enabled. Assuming that this behaviour has something to do with SamyGO, do you know some workaround?

Ok, this one is not so obvious.

Problem is almost sure on TV side.
Your TV responds correctly to the first request for "version" using the telnet-channel, thus working root and working telnet.
Your SamyGOso seems correctly marked as executable.
Your Keydumper library size is same as the one I use .. Your SamyGOso is a bit smaller than the one I use ..

Try this ..

1. Delete the SamyGOso from TV using Putty (just to be very sure).
2. Use the PVRDecoder tool-menu to FORCE upload "standard" libraries (will include tested SamyGOso).
3. PowerCycle TV.
4. Verify SamyGOso is flagged as executable
5. (re)Start PVRDecoder and open NetcatMonitor to see communications.
6. Try decode something.
7. Optionally try copying the command(s) you see in the netcatmonitor to Putty ... Do you see any output ?
7. Come back here and tell me more.

It seems your TV "ignores" every telnet-command except for the initial "version" request ..

Every line saying "(23) <--" with no data is a problem.

You may retry root-operation using NEWEST SamyGO-package ..

We may also have to talk to juuso and/or Bugficks ..

Right now, I have no idea why your TV does not respond to telnet-commands (apart from version-info).

Even in Putty you get no reply ..

the problem for me is that the TV is an UE55ES8090 with the EvoPack SEK-1000/XC.
The Firmware is the newest Firmware ota ... i think its the 1009.4 / Date Version: 2014.03.11

What is the best root? I have found this and root with this How to: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=7417

Was that the right way?
