The first 20 seconds suffer from incorrect pts calculation inside the MKV demuxer. I don't know what happens there exactly, but as result only every 8th frame gets the correct pts value.

Reboot is not expected. In your case something is wrong.
What type of TV (model and firmware) do you use?

A new version had been released:

It is improved in the following way:
- MKV sound processing is no longer distorted during first around 20 seconds
- audio switching should work (press RED button)
- CPU usage should decrease due to optimizations in ffmpeg (using VFP engine)

Please test and report here.
