Please, as a main piece of advice, try to read at least the posts on the same page of the thread before asking. Otherwise you question may not sound very intelligent. This is a basic rule for this and all the other forums all over the Internet.

erdem_ua already said a few posts before that PVR tool is ONLY able to record digital DTV signal. That is because TV is not able to perform any actual encoding (i.e. XVID, DIVX, h264 encoding). DVB-T signal is broadcasted encoded using MPEG2 (SD channels) or H.264 (HD channels) and encapsulated into a MPEG TS stream. What PVR tool does is to extract that signal from the air and put it into a file. Just that. To be clear, it is a copy & paste functionality. Thus, no transformations can be done.

Alejandro

PVR+ is little buggy. I wish next version(s) will be fixed.

First of all, I want to thank you for this great application.

Unfortunately I'm having some issues with it :(
- Even when PVR+ is running I can't play its recordings. The older version of PVR has no problems doing so
- Would it be possible to add a little ini file where I can specifiy a specific folder for recording as it was done in previous versions? One could still leave the present choices but adding an option "custom" which would be specified in the mentioned ini file
- PVR seems to incompatible with myButtons - if I launch PVR with my buttons the TV will freeze and reboot when trying to record something. But this problem applies to all PVR versions.

BTW: What's the sense of the Fav.Ch button that switches the aspect ration while watching/recording? In all cases the playback by the TV's media player needs avr2fix running in order to select the proper aspect ratio.

Regardless of recording, there is a big problem in Media Player on some CI+ devices. I've made a few PVR recordings with my non-CI B650 (patched 2005 fware). They are more or less playable on b650's media player. Saying less playable i mean there is no sound on some multiaudio-track recordings - known bug.
But when i try to play SAME recordings on b679 (CIP), more of them just won't play. The media player throws message "Unsupported file format".
I think, there are some important diferences in Media Play between those devices. I found some rule about the playability of TS files on B679.
When stream looks like that:

Code: Select all

Input #0, mpegts, from '/storage2/media/recorded/R2010-09-30_21-32_Dr House 6_001.ts':
  Duration: 00:00:47.02, start: 34871.367078, bitrate: 4421 kb/s
  Program 1 Polsat
  Program 2 TVN
    Stream #0.0[0xca]: Video: h264, yuv420p, 720x576 [PAR 16:11 DAR 20:11], 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
    Stream #0.1[0xcb](pol): Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 192 kb/s
  Program 3 TV4
  Program 4 TV Puls
  Program 5 TV5
  Program 6 TV6
  Program 7 TV7
  Program 8 TV8
it won't play. But if it's like that:

Code: Select all

Input #0, mpegts, from '/storage2/media/recorded/R2010-11-26_18-39_Pierwsza_milosc_001.ts':
  Duration: 00:01:05.70, start: 68040.100456, bitrate: 4219 kb/s
  Program 1 Polsat
    Stream #0.0[0x66]: Video: h264, yuv420p, 720x576 [PAR 12:11 DAR 15:11], 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
    Stream #0.1[0x67](pol): Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 192 kb/s
  Program 2 TVN
  Program 3 TV4
  Program 4 TV Puls
  Program 5 TV5
  Program 6 TV6
  Program 7 TV7
  Program 8 TV8
it will be playable. So when the stream was recorded from the first channel of the multiplex it will be playable with internal Media Player. Strange :?
And here a log from debug console, when trying to play "unsupported" file:

Code: Select all
