Record PVR to NAS (NFS)
Re: Record PVR to NAS (NFS)
No, just change the format:)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

Re: Record PVR to NAS (NFS)
I don't get this.
Why can't someone just provide me with a step-by-step tutorial?

Re: Record PVR to NAS (NFS)
Hey, it works. I have a small achievement.
I copied the the 02_05_PVRtoAnyDEV.init I found on the forum to the init.d folder and disabled the old PVRtoAnyDEV script. I also copied the PVRtoTS.init script to that folder. I started both and I tried a recording to my HDD. It works I can replay the recording on my Mac without decryption. On my iPad it seems to work, even it's still loading. It even recognizes the different languages.
Maybe with directly recording to NAS I had a wrong thinking. My TV is connected via wifi with the router. Maybe that's why it doesn't work. Maybe I have to try it via LAN.
Also even the TV now decrypts the video while recording, I need to either connect now my HDD directly to the NAS via USB. But that might be a bit slow.
Also the init scripts don't start automatically. How can I do this?

Re: Record PVR to NAS (NFS)
@karo2204,
Congratz .. great progress !
Now .. Guess who ends up having to author the step-by-step procedure for all of us to enjoy
You should perhaps wait until you get the script to autorun .. but I believe that to be a minor detail
Looking forward to your tutorial !

Re: Record PVR to NAS (NFS)
Haha.
I just figured out that I have only an SATA connection available on my external HDD. I need to find the cable. And I can't access the LAN port
But then I thought it is connecting to NFS via Wifi, then it should also be possible to record....
Now I need to find how to start the scripts automatically. I have found a hint to use the SamyGO.sh script in /mtd_rwarea but I need to see how bash scripting works again....
Also I am wondering why the vusb.init script starts automatically and the others don't. I also found the wakelan.init script but I don't know how it works. And let me guess it might only work via LAN
What I did I found two init scripts in the forum. Disable PVRAnyDEV.init script. I am attaching these if it helps.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pvatg40f2a052 ... RtoTS.init
https://www.dropbox.com/s/836coudj2jh2i ... nyDev.init
Just copy them to the init.d folder and then start the scripts on the script web interface. And you are good to go. Hope that was right. it just worked let me know.
Now you can record and decrypt directly to the HDD. From there you need to find a way to copy it to your NAS or have the same HDD drive attached to your Router which is also a Mediaserver.
Also I am thinking of a script to automatically copy the recorded video file to the NAS automatically but I think the TV needs to run there. So starting up the TV with wakelan and HDMI-CEC and a Raspberry would be an option. and then shut it down via HDMI again. A script either php or shell script (php on internal web server) should copy the files over to the NAS.
That would be at least a workaround until someone finally can release a how to on how he got the direct recording to work.
So just a few ideas and a lot of thinking......
