Eventually... or fortunately, I'm not sure root was possible on 5500 (no smarthub?)

Well we cannot "give" your bluray an internet access :)
And second thing. Decide finally which device do you have? On this forum you have made only 4 posts and you speak about three different devices: bd-f5500, a bd-f6500 and now a bd-f5100 :) Your "wifi" is probably connected to some "cable" :) Connect this "cable" to bluray ;)

The only question is: do you have Smarthub? As far as I can see on product specifications, the answer is no. In that case, no root possible, nor Cinavia removal.

I have ONLY a BD F5100, I don`t have smarthub and after last post ( zoelechat thanks) I understood that I can`t remove cinavia without internet acces, That`s all. A good day.

Hi, I have problem with BD-E8500

I've done everything and now I can FTP and telnet to it.

But when I telnet (2023 port) I got
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
VDLinux#>

But every command I enter I don't get any message if it work. Even when I try
mkdir /tmp/test

and then I ftp , directory is not created.

Co I cannot get Cinavia patch working - I can transfer files , but it seems I can't execute them :

/tmp/cinaviapatch -d -n exeDSP

Anyone can help? Thanks
