Hi,
My receiver only accepts PCM. Is it possible to have the passthrough be PCM 5.1/7.1 rather than downscaled to 2 channel PCM? This would be like TV tuner or any other internal sources i.e Netflix.

If possible it would be only through HDMI/ARC and shouldn't need any patching, optical is only PCM2.0/DD/DTS5.1 capable.

First of all, GOD THANK YOU!!!
You cant imagine for how long i?ve been searching for a solution for this problem! I have a XBOX ONE, a PS4 and a HTPC with KODI connected to a Samsung UE42F5500 via HDMI. I then connected the TV to my old Pionner AVR via spdif.
Before i found this thread i could only get 2.0 audio or THX NEO 2:5. I didnt want that!
When i found this it solved almost all of my problem!

I did the FAKE EDID patch and this one, and now my AVR can detect proper dolby digital 5.1 sound. Also, when i go into TV mode it changes back to 2.0 like it should.

I?m only having a problem getting DTS sound. For example, on my HTPC if a movie or tvshow is encoded with DD 5.1 it plays without any hickup. If i go back to a tvshow with only 2.0 the AVR turns back to stereo like it should.

The thing is that, if start a movie with DTS sound the AVR doesnt go into DTS mode and the DTS option on the TV menu keeps greyed out.

Probably i didnt gave the proper command on one of those last ones. Can anyone help me?

If you used DTS arg in both patches, you can't be wrong elsewhere, DTS support is just "experimental" which means not guaranteed.
You still can convert DTS audio tracks to AC3 using such tool: http://www.videohelp.com/software/PopCo ... oConverter

Nevermind you guys!! All is working!

I went to the activation script and changed it like you said from Auto to OPTIONS="AUTO PCM DTS".

Then rebooted the TV, and voil?! DTS also working! The only thing is that with DD 5.1 my receiver imediatly recognizes the signal and changes from 2.0 to DD 5.1. With DTS i have to go to TV menu and choose DTS. But no biggie! Al is working.
