I followed exactly what you wrote and it worked perfectly! for my BD-D5500 I am now on 1090 and all working well.

Hi I have a BD D8500AXY Blu ray palyer ........ it had 10012 firmware installed (I had unfortunatally updated it) I used your site to downgrade it to 1007 and it works beautifully, no Ciniva except when I play 3D copied discs. The right eye flickers very badley and makes the movie unwatchable but will show OK in 2D. When I upgrade back to the 10012 the discs are fine but have Ciniva again.
Is there a firmware download to say 1008 or 1009 or 10010 or 10011 maybe these firmware will fix the 3D problem.

Either way your downlaond is great ..... your work is great ...... if there is a way around this let me know.

Add me to the list of people that would like to be able to downgrade the firmware to 1009 on my BD-E5700. I will be a guinea pig if needed. Please let me know what to do and anything you need from me. This is a pretty popular device so I believe there will be more people requesting this in the future. I have a 30 day return window on this player and will be returning it if I cannot disable this Cinavia garbage on it. I only mention the return window because that is the time frame I have to work with here before I give up and get an older DXXXX player instead.

P.S. I am currently on firmware 1015. The one that is currently v1090 on the server.

Reading the thread some more, I'll add that the firmware downgrade definitely did work on my BD-E5700 as it downgraded from 1016 to 1015. The firmware still has Cinavia in it though.

Hey guys, downgrade done with success on my BD-D5300!

It works at the first try. What gave me little problems was the configuration of my router linksys, but after that, no problems at all.

My BD-E5300 came with Cinavia, can i fix it with this method? Someone has try it with this player?

Can anyone confirm whether any of these firmwares will work on the BD-E6500? Or is that too new of a release?

If not, can someone recommend the best of the previous series of Samsung releases that this *will* work with?

In case anyone cares, I have returned the BD-E5700 and am going to go with a Minix Neo X5 device instead. It looks like work on removing Cinavia from it has stagnated and the interface is just painfully slow on the device. I think Android is going to give me a much better platform to work with. Thanks for what you guys have done with the Samsung stuff anyhow!
