Can you reproduce this again and again .. at the same spot ?
Could you record a new large file on TV and try with that ..
Just to exclude that your 60Gb file might be bad and thus throwing the decrypter off its tracks.
@Bugficks, Any ideas why the decrypter would do this .. with no error-message ?
@juuso, Do you have a clue why FTP-server in TV would hard-disconnect after 60 minutes ?

Same file stops at same point
Code: Select all
Decrypting 'M:\PVR\20140502012005.srf' to 'M:\Decode\out7.ts'
4831838384 100%
Decryption completed in 142 secs.
Decrypting 'M:\PVR\20140502012005.srf' to 'M:\Decode\out8.ts'
4831838384 100%
Decryption completed in 217 secs.
Other file stops at different point.
Code: Select all
Decrypting 'M:\PVR\20140608160005.srf' to 'M:\Decode\out9.ts'

No mate. Maybe cpu overload? network instability (switch/router`s problems)...

I have no idea why your TV chooses to disconnect your FTP-session after 60 minuts .. please re-re-verify using a 3rd party FTP-client.
I have no idea why the decrypt-process fails the way it does. Its beyond my control, as the entire decrypting process is done by a tool written by Bugficks.
The PVRDecoder carries this tool internally and dump it to harddisk when its required, and launch it .. but the PVRDecoder have no control beyond that, except
that I sample the output of the process and use that to display its progress ..
We will have to wait for a comment from Bugficks, I think ..

Hello,
I installed the most recent version 1.5.3.4 and the description says:
- Introducing offline decoder, allowing recordings to be decrypted directly from USB-device by connecting it to PC.
I copied the following files from my XFS (required by my Samsung TV UE46ES6300) formatted USB stick to an NTFS formatted stick (using a Linux System):
20141028091518.inf
20141028091518.mdb (should contain the key, correct?)
20141028091518.mta
20141028091518.srf (should contain the stream, 250MB, 10 minutes of recording)
20141028091518.ss
NewBoard.ss
and expected that all files required for decryption (e.g. key and video stream) are on the stick. It seems that the deceoder still tries to connect to the TV, without conection it is not possible to select an USB device or any local files.
Questions:
1) Which additional information does SymyGo need to be able to decode totally offline (e.g. why is a connection to TV required)?
2) Are there any possibilities and plans for a version which does NOT require a rooted TV.
Regards, Rainer

Root and connection to TV are mandatory to launch keydumper on TV. No other way to retrieve keys, even for 'offline' decoding.

No, simply not possible.

Hello Zoelechat,
zoelechat wrote:mandatory to launch keydumper on TV. No other way to retrieve keys
thanks for Explanation. But from my Point of view it would be a solution to have a Windows Version of keydumper. I know that for several programming languages decompilers are available to retrieve source code from executables. Even if this is not possible it might be a solution to analyze the the mashine language, detect the logic and recode it for Windows. Maybe it is simply enough to ask Samsung for the source code

. Another solution might be to run a copy of keydumper on a Linux/Android mashine?
If the keydumper somehow requires Hardware Information (like processor id) of the TV then this Piece of code getting the HW data allways must run on the TV, which finally leads to the conclusion, that at least a small Piece of Software must be run on the TV and this means it must be rooted. My TV was broken and the technican had a Special remote control. With this control he was able to start a System Screen and there you could see many System Parameters like error Counters, mac address and so on. If the required data are on this Screen, then you only Need a Special remote control. I have a Logitec Harmony 700, so it might be possible to teach the control how to open the Special menu.

The keydumper is designed and compiled to be launched on TV itself, remote machine only sends Telnet command (that's why root is mandatory). It cannot be otherwise.
Basically, it hooks function to catch key "as if TV was going to need it to playback a recording" and write it to a keyfile.
edit: about your edit: Yeah, the menu accessed by technician with a special remote (or a few other known ways) is called Service Menu, you can check wiki there's no mystery around it (be extremely careful though, you may break...again your TV)
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Service_Menu
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Remote ... ransmitter
About keys, they're specific to each TV and different for each recording, I wonder how you could find them just by looking at 'a serial number' for example. It's not a 'generic' one you'll find on the web like your Windows or Wifi password.
Anyway, If you find a better solution, feel free to tell us
